Take your riding to the next level! Built with FULL CUSTOM SLS Technology. With the ULTRA FreeWave, our main goal was to move away from the typical “all-rounder” compromise. That’s why we didn’t follow the usual path of creating an “easy-to-ride” freemove board and then trying to add classic wave and freestyle features. Instead, we did the opposite: we started with a powerful new-school freestyle board, which automatically provided maximum acceleration and pop. Then we fine-tuned the shape so that it would also perform as a capable wave board in side-on conditions with waves up to mast-high. For the ULTRA FreeWave to perform in these conditions, it had to be responsive, direct, and truly compatible with a tri-fin setup.
What are the key ingredients of a great Bump & Jump Freemove board? For us: great acceleration, control, and maneuverability. What’s truly new and unique about a board like this is its lively, responsive feel. Instead of feeling dull and boring, the ULTRA FreeWave delivers exhilarating riding without sacrificing control or wind range. That’s why it carries the ULTRA suffix. It’s not only thrilling when performing or learning new maneuvers, but it’s also exciting in a straight line, keeping a smile on your face throughout your session. Our second priority was creating the first “convertible maneuver” that works equally well with a single fin or tri-fin setup, drastically changing its character: with a tri-fin, it offers 70% of the GRIP 3’s wave potential (top/bottom turns), with a single fin, it feels much more exciting than its predecessor, and with a capable freestyle fin, it offers 70% of the SKATE’s hardcore freestyle potential.
And we didn’t stop there: instead of the industry-standard semi-custom technology, the ULTRA FreeWave is now built with FULL CUSTOM Technology, just like the highest-end custom boards. As a result, both versions are approximately 200g lighter than previous models, yet even stronger. The legendary FreeWave has been improved in every way, deservedly becoming the ULTRA FreeWave.
