IN BRIEF
There is no other board with which you can experience the feeling of gliding in such a short time as with the EAGLE.

Is the EAGLE SLS the right freeride board for you?

+ Where do you come from?
You’ve had your first windsurfing experience and can hold your height. There is no other board with which you can experience the feeling of gliding in such a short time as with the EAGLE.

+ Where it will take you:
Besides planing, jibing is the EAGLE’s second strength. But it is not only made for learning the (power) jibe, it will even accompany you all the way to freerace heating and laydown jibes.

The EAGLE was developed with the following goals in mind:
+ Early passive planing
+ Intuitive jibing
+ Maximum wind range and control even in choppy conditions

This makes it a perfect intermediate to advanced board that accompanies you from your first attempts at planing to heating and laydown jibing.

To achieve these characteristics, the team around Daniel Aeberli (Product Manager Boards) has developed the VOLUME YET CONTROL CONCEPT:
+ The slightly longer and therefore less round outline allows us to reduce the volume compared to rounder boards
(e.g. Fanatic Gecko or Tabou Rocket) by up to 30 liters without losing control.
+ However, the extra volume results in a much safer, more predictable and more relaxed riding position,
especially in low power or pre-slide sessions.
+ This leads to an unbeatably wide range of use

The slightly longer and therefore less rounded outline also offers 2 important advantages:
+ It prevents the board from turning unnecessarily into the wind, which means that the Eagle almost automatically
automatically into planing
+ It prevents the board from rocking even in rough chop, which is a problem with rounder boards.

The maneuver-oriented railshape makes jibing effortless and predictable as the thin rails require less pressure to initiate the turn. This is ideal for newcomers to jibing or to increase the success rate of lay-down jibes. But even for advanced riders, the EAGLE is anything but a boring board. It almost feels like a longer version of the BLAST as it has a very similar scoop rocker line.
